The drum washer is designed to separate seeds from halved peppers, as part of a pepper processing line. Seeds are removed from split peppers passing through a perforated drum using pressurized water. The drum rolls around its axis along stainless steel wheels with a polyurethane coating. The cleaned material is delivered by an auger inside the drum towards a discharge hopper. The split pepper falls from the drum onto a modular conveyor for final separation.
The drum is driven by a spun gear with an electric motor located on the drive shaft in the centre of the adjustable frame. The drum angle can be adjusted to regulate the speed of the passing material. The rinse tube height can be adjusted according to the drum inclination, or according to specific requirements based on previous experience. On the input side, the machine is equipped with a hopper adapted for the connection of a modular conveyor, while at the output side there is a hopper designed for the connection of a modular conveyor for final separation.
The device is made of stainless steel structure (quality according to DIN 1.4301), including the connecting material of quality A2 and plastic components. All materials used have been certified for direct contact with food.
